Governors

We currently have two vacancies for Parent Governors on our Governing Body. Below is a nomination form on which four parents who have children at the school can jointly nominate another parent for election as a Parent Governor. No parent may nominate more candidates than there are vacancies. It is necessary for a Parent Governor to have a child at the school at the time he or she is elected. The term of office is for four years whether or not the child of the elected parent remains at the school for the whole of this period. The deadline for all nominations to be returned to the school is Tuesday 8th May .

Rose Hill Governors bring a variety of skills to the Governing Body.

As well as our twice termly full Governors meetings, we have a number of committees and ad hoc working groups which cover various aspects of school life. Our roles include ensuring that the school is well run and managed, that it is a safe and pleasant environment in which to learn and provides an excellent education. These committees meet termly:-

  • Finance
  • Personnel
  • Curriculum
  • Premises, Health and Safety
  • Steering

Our Governors represent four key stakeholder groups: parents, the Local Authority, staff and co-opted Governors.

The Governors get involved in many aspects of school life - Shows and performances, Open Evenings, Share Events, and Parent Forum’s where we are able to discuss a range of school matters.

Governors can be contacted via the school office.
