Young Writers Drawing Competition
The children in EYFS have won a drawing competition! The children each drew a picture of their family. We then entered their drawings into the Young Writers 'Me and My Family' competition. All the children's drawings were chosen to be featured in their new book series! The children were each awarded a special certificate and a strip of stickers. The book has now been published and we have a copy for the children to look at in our reading area.
World Book Day
To celebrate World Book Day this year, each class had lots of fun creating a 'book in a box'! Each class chose a different book to theme their box on. The children worked together to design and then create their boxes. The boxes made by each class were then displayed in the hall in the 'Book in a Box Gallery'. Each class had the opportunity to visit the gallery and admire the amazing boxes that had been created. Ladybirds had so much fun looking around the gallery, they each chose their favourite box to make observational drawings from.
Christmas Tree Festival
EYFS took part in St Mary le Tower’s Christmas Tree Festival again this year. The theme for our tree this year was ‘Tree of Colour’. The children worked hard to create beautiful, colourful decorations for our tree. This year the festival welcomed over 8,000 people in just 7 days!
