On Thursday 5th May 2022 we were extremely lucky to have Nick Templeton visit our school. Nick worked with some children across KS1 and KS2. The children were taught how to use 'Book Creator' and 'CoSpaces'. This was a fantastic experience for the children and we can't wait to show everyone else during Computing lessons.
Here are some pictures of KS1 exploring Book Creator and listening to Nick introduce it to Rose Hill.
Here are LKS2 exploring Book Creator before creating a virtual world on CoSpaces and trying out a VR headset!
Here are UKS2 creating a virtual world on CoSpaces and also enjoying a VR headset!
Computing day!
Here are pictures of our KS1 children were learning how to program Beebots. The children were being treasure hunters. The children were coding the BeeBots, creating algorithms, inputting code on the BeeBot and debugging if they needed to.
Here are pictures of our LKS2 children programming a game on Scratch 3. The children needed to choose a sprite, set variables, code, create algorithms and debug when they came across any bugs. The children used their knowledge organisers to help them to be successful.
Here are pictures of our UKS2 children creating animations on Scratch 3. The children were using previous knowledge to help them be successful. The children had to code blocks such as motions, looks and sensing, so their animations would work. Once the children could input the code they then had to carefully watch the output to see if there were any bugs and if so, they would need to debug their algorithms.
