Thrive
Here at Rose Hill, we are pleased and excited to be introducing The Thrive Approach in our setting. Thrive supports children with their emotional health, well-being and social skills. Children cannot always put their needs into words, but the way children behave can tell us a lot about how they are feeling.
We have a New Thrive Room, which is where children take part, with a trained Thrive Practitioner, either 1:1 or in small groups. The activities that we do, focus on the child’s own interests and might include sand play, board games, painting, model making, exploring difficult situations through role-play or comic strips, playing strategy and team games.
Rose Hill Primary School is very lucky to have this opportunity, as it will enable our children to become more resilient and resourceful, have the ability to form trusting, rewarding relationships, be compassionate and empathetic, and be able to find coping strategies to help them now, and into their future.
Thrive - how our time and interactions with our children can make a positive difference – supporting their well being and building their emotional resilience.
